TORONTO - Bell ExpressVu today launched TSN Extra, an interactive sports TV information service, featuring on-demand news, results, standings and statistics, accesible to customers by their remote controls.

"Canadian sports fans who want virtually instant access to information on their favourite team or player will love this unique, interactive service," said Tim McGee, president of Bell ExpressVu. "TSN Extra is the first in a series of new enhanced iTV offerings that will deliver quick and simple access to what customers want, when they want it. It will change the way Canadians watch and receive information from their TV."

TSN Extra can be accessed from Bell ExpressVu's iTV LaunchPad on channel 275. Customers simply use the arrow buttons on their remote control to browse the latest scores, league standings, player statistics, news and insights from TSN columnists. The interactive content features the current week's sports schedule, and past week's results with information and standings updated regularly.

The service is currently available free until January 4, 2004 to Bell ExpressVu customers with either a 3100, 5100 or 5800 interactive receiver, and thereafter for $1.99 per month. Bell ExpressVu partnered with ExtendMedia, a leading iTV application developer which is part-owned by corporate parent BCE, in conjunction with TSN.ca, to deliver TSN Extra.
