AirG Boosts Mobile Marketing

Vancouvers AirG mobile community and wireless social networking provider, and Virgin Mobile Canada, launched the Red Light Lounge mobile community on the Virgin Mobile network.
With integrated features like instant messaging, picture profiles, search tools, photo sharing, presence and blogging, the Red Light Lounge offers Virgin Mobile customers a 24x7 social networking management tool on their mobile phone, the companies describe.

Red Light Lounge is available to all Virgin Mobile Canada customers with wireless web enabled handsets. Launched in 2005, Virgin Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), offering a range of phones and an array of messaging, music and mobile content.
AirG, a NMBC member, and Boost Mobile, a lifestyle-based telecommunications company, recently conducted whats called one of the largest mobile marketing campaigns in the United States.
Between October 15, 2006 and January 15, 2007, more than 1.5 million entries were received for the Get Hookt Up With A New Ride campaign via multiple online and offline channels including the mobile phone through Boost Hookt - the popular mobile community on Boost Mobile, retail mail-in, a national radio text to join campaign, an online signup promoted through MySpace viral referrals, and online signups through the West Coast Customs and Boost Mobile websites.
