Toronto-based digital content creation company marblemedia has launched a new department to work with broadcasters and brands to develop Canadian programming for multiple screen delivery.
With the move, marblemedia is signalling new opportunities for brands to connect with consumers via seamless integration in quality Canadian entertainment. Integrations will be highly customized and developed collaboratively on in house projects as well as special initiatives with marblemedia partners including broadcasters, brands and fellow producers, the company describes
As the first step in establishing this new area of their business, marblemedia is welcoming Lisa Reis as Director of Brand Integration.
Leading this new department, Reis brings with her 18 years of agency and client side experience in advertising and media. Her strengths in building rewarding relationships and exciting integrated brand programming make her a natural fit for the task at hand.
“We saw a real opportunity to work more closely with broadcasters and advertisers to integrate brands into both television and online entertainment where there is a natural fit,” Mark Bishop, Executive Producer and Co-founder of marblemedia, said in a release. “This does not mean we will compromise the integrity of our programming in any way. We think the true value of this approach is only realized where the brand association actually makes the content stronger and creates value for our audiences”.
The revenue generated from brand integration initiatives will also help create stronger Canadian multi-platform entertainment to remain competitive and echo the global media landscape, something marblemedia has championed from its inception.
“I’m excited to develop marblemedia’s 360 degree cross-platform entertainment solutions for media agencies and clients,” added Reis. “We connect with brands everyday in our lives and in many cases they enrich our experiences. marblemedia will create fresh programming that crosses TV, online, mobile, gaming, social networking and other forms of emerging media”.
marblemedia is currently in talks with several partners regarding branded entertainment initiatives for several, upcoming projects such as: ‘The Dating Guy’; a hilarious animated, adult-comedy about dating, sex and friendship airing on Teletoon Fall 2010. ‘Just Like Mom…and Dad’; currently in development, a remake of the classic Canadian family game show that teams-up parents and their kids in two rounds of family-related trivia plus a frenetic bake-off challenge. An online game allows ‘Just Like Mom…and Dad’ home audience to play along online. marblemedia recently partnered with Fresh TV who created ‘Stoked’ a music-driven, animated surf comedy for tweens, which currently airs on Teletoon. marblemedia is responsible for executing Stoked’s interactive component as well as sourcing, negotiating and executing cross-platform brand integration initiatives.
