With plans to develop, produce and distribute original content across all media platforms and ancillary brand extensions, two well-known TV production companies are combining their forces into one new company.
Chris Knight, President, Knight Enterprises and Al Magee, President, Magee TV Inc. have announced the creation of a jointly owned company Knight Magee Industries.
The veteran TV entrepreneurs will be Co-CEO’s in Knight Magee Industries and retain their current offices and staff in both Ottawa and Toronto.

Knight Magee Industries’ first project will be the recently announced TV movie based on the adventures of one of Canada’s most revered historical figures Sir Samuel Benfield Steele, in partnership with Calgary-based producer Nancy Laing of Earth to Sky Pictures and with key support from The Alberta Department of Culture and Community Spirit and the CBC.
Al Magee’s Toronto based production company, Magee TV, is known internationally for its innovative, high impact fiction and non-fiction television series seen in over 70 countries. Magee has over 400 episodes in 10 series to his credit and over 400 hours of scripted comedy. He was recognized with the coveted Maple Pictures Innovative Producer of the Year Award presented at the Banff World Television Festival in 2006 and the WGC’s Mentorship award in 2008. Magee served as Executive Producer on the last two seasons of CBC’s hit comedy Little Mosque on The Prairie.
