Banff Awards Call for Top TV, Digital Media Entries

Celebrating the "best of the best" in international television and digital media content, the Banff World Media Festival has opened its 2013 call for competition entries.

Known as the ‘Rockies’, the Awards program regularly attracts up to 1,000 international entries from over 40 countries across the globe.

Successful nominees will be selected by a panel of industry leaders representing excellence in the following genres:

• Entertainment

• Children, Family and Youth Program

• Documentary

• Interactive Categories (e.g. Web Series) ...and more!

“The BANFF Program Competition is a great opportunity for the world’s most innovative producers of media content to celebrate their contribution to excellent programming,” said Ferne Cohen, Community Director of the Banff World Media Festival. “In June 2013, BANFF will once again feature an exciting program second to none, focusing on the new technologies, conversations and trends that are shaping the global media landscape today.

The Banff World Media Festival is the world's largest and most important gathering of entertainment industry and digital media executives dedicated to media content production, broadcast and distribution within TV and digital media. BANFF provides a platform for the evolving media industry to develop its creative and business objectives, serves as the leading destination for co-production and co-venture partners and is an unparalleled destination for more than 2000 international decision-makers to meet, learn and do business. The 33rd annual Banff World Media Festival will take place June 10-13, 2012 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Banff, Alberta.

The winners of the 2013 Rockies Program Competition will be presented with the coveted Rockie trophy during the Banff World Media Festival in Banff, Alberta from June 9-12, 2013.
