Just in time for Family Day, the CBC has unveiled a new mobile app for kids, and it has launched an interactive website for preschoolers.

The new TV for Me app provides access to CBC commercial-free kids’ programming and regularly updated content, along with new series and episodes being added on a regular basis.

KIDSCBC.CA is described as a dynamic, customizable online space for preschoolers to easily create and play within a space all their own. It features favourite Kids’ CBC characters, shows, games and videos.

“We are excited to expand the reach of our Kids’ CBC programming to ensure that preschoolers can access their favourite shows at any time,” said Sally Catto, Executive Director of Commissioned and Scripted Programming.

Designed with preschoolers in mind, the new app lets preschoolers navigate a simple, easy-to-use interface, allowing exclusive access to Kids’ CBC programming, with any iPad equipped with 3G connectivity or Wi-Fi access.

The TV for Me iOS app is available for free.
