A special live and interactive event was the online platform for some of the top innovators and creators in Canadian Digital Media
.
The webcast was held to introduce the nominees for a 2012 Digi Award, presented as part of an annual industry showcase that’s part of the nextMEDIA Conference, to be held in Toronto on December 4th at The Carlu.
The awards recognize the who’s who of Canada’s digital elite and feature some of the brightest stars and biggest changemakers in the Canadian digital media landscape today.
This year, over 60 companies submitted entries The Digis in categories ranging from Most Innovative Digital Media Technologies, Best in Branded Entertainment, Best Use of Social Media and a slew of others, making the event the top destination for Canada’s digital media elite.
The event was hosted by YouTube celebrities Andrew Bravener and Andrew Gunadie (together forming ‘gunnarolla’).
"The Digi Awards celebrate the digital innovation in Canada's advertising, media and technology sectors," said Mark Greenspan, Community Director of nextMEDIA. "These sectors are undergoing a fundamental evolution and The Digis offer a unique opportunity to see what kind of innovation that the digital media world is producing, while also providing us with a better understanding of Canada as a global digital leader."
