Local Search, Online Marketing Offered as Rogers Forms New Alliance

Local online marketing services for small and medium-sized businesses in Canada will be delivered through a new partnership between Rogers Communications and U.S. based search company Yodle.

Small and medium-sized businesses in Canada will have access to Yodle's online marketing services through Rogers, as Yodle makes its first foray into an international market.

Under the terms of a software and platform licensing agreement, Yodle will offer mobile and social marketing services for small and medium-sized businesses across North America.

The companies will continue development of the platform, as well.

Yodle has promoted Milind Mehere to General Manager to operate the Canadian business and to oversee the alliance.

Yodle currently provides websites, paid search marketing, search engine optimization and display advertising to nearly 28,000 local businesses in the U.S. Yodle is headquartered in New York, NY.

"Out of more than 2 million small and medium businesses in Canada, less than 45% have websites," said Yodle CEO Court Cunningham. "Through our alliance with Rogers, we will quickly change that by making it easy for business owners, from Halifax to Vancouver, to attract local customers with a simple and cost-effective solution."

"We are thrilled to announce that we will be bringing Yodle's expertise in local and online marketing to Canadian businesses in 2012."
