A new JAZZ.FM91 Android mobile app is now available for Android 2.2 smart phones and portable media devices.
The new app extends existing iOS mobile services to Android smart phones, and it offers access to the JAZZ.FM91 live stream over Wi-Fi and mobile data connections, as well as the popular Web Radio streams High Standards, The Grooveyard and the Oscar Peterson Channel.
The app also allows listeners to connect and interact with both the JAZZ.FM91 Twitter and Facebook pages.
Since 2011, there have been over a half a million downloads of the JAZZ.FM91 iPhone and iPad apps worldwide from the iTunes store. “Since we had such enormous success of our iPhone/iPad apps, it was only a matter of time before we were able to launch an app for Android users,” said Ross Porter, CEO and President of JAZZ.FM91. “We’re happy to be able to provide our listeners around the world the ability to connect with us wherever they are.”
The JAZZ.FM91 Android app is available for free download.
JAZZ.FM91 can be heard live on the air at 91.1FM, streamed online at www.jazz.fm, or on free mobile apps.
