A new ‘whodunit’ murder mystery is unravelling on Toronto subway screens.
New 30-second episodes are being presented daily by Pattison Onestop and Art for Commuters, using Pattison’s network of digital screens and signage boards at subway system station stops.
Murder in Passing, about a bike courier whose death is highly suspicious, was written and directed by John Greyson, and shot in the ‘film noir’ style. The music was composed by David Wall.
In the series, Passing is a small town in B.C., and everyone is a suspect in the courier’s murder.
The transmedia series also develops online, with citizen detective’s blog posts and daily online clues; social media networks also provide additional platforms for related content, as does the Metro commuter newspaper.
