Polar Mobile, the Toronto-based mobile technology provider, has unleashed its media-focused development platform for mobile sites and apps.
Available now in general release, the product has been implemented previously, and its own development was supported by millions of dollars in investment funding raised by Polar in the past year.
MediaEverywhere is a ‘software-as-a-service’ development platform for mobile sites and apps. It can be integrated with existing content management systems, ad delivery technologies and analytics providers.
Over 20 global publishers are already offering mobile products made with Polar Mobile and MediaEverywhere, including TVO, British Wired, Toronto Star, Canadian Living, Elle Canada, British Vogue, Metroland, Daily Racing Form, CFO Publishing and the Fight Network.
The platform includes a flexible UI framework, mobile site templates and app feature libraries packaged into a user customizable Software Development Kit (SDK).

The Hockey News and Canadian Living. Both are flagship brands published in print and online by TC Media. The Hockey News and Canadian Living mobile sites are optimized for iPhone OS 4.3+ and Android OS 2.3+ smartphones.
