New Online Video Advertising Services on Akamai Powered by mDialog

mDialog, the Toronto-based video stream management company, is providing core elements that power dynamic ad insertion across Akamai Technologies’ new Ad Integration Services offering.

Akamai Technologies is one of the world's largest distributed computing and Internet content delivery network.

mDialog says it has developed an integrated digital media workflow portfolio to help media companies reach, monetize and measure their desired audiences across the widest range of connected devices with 1-to-1 addressable advertising within linear, live and on-demand programming.

Using mDialog’s Smart Stream Video Platform technology  and new Sola Ad Integration Services platfrom, CDNs can deliver cloud-based targeted advertising in linear, live and on-demand video content to connected computer or portable media devices.

mDialog says that shifting the complexities of online video ad insertion from the player to the cloud means it can remove many of the limitations associated with traditional player-based ad delivery. The company says its Smart Stream Platform uses a lightweight stream SDK to ensure accurate Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) compliant measurement beaconing, and supports interactive video ads and ad-skipping prevention in order to deliver a seamless TV-quality viewing experience across devices.
