The new paranormal thriller series The River makes its debut on TV, online and via mobile apps, CTV has confirmed.

The River debuts with a special two-hour series premiere, Tuesday, Feb. 7, kicking off the eight-art series from Amblin's Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks Television and ABC Studios.

New episodes will also be available for video streaming the day following their CTV television broadcast on the CTV Video Player, on the CTV iPad App, and on Bell Mobile TV featuring CTV Mobile.

Starring Canadians Bruce Greenwood (as Cole) and Leslie Hope, the show is executive produced and written by Paranormal Activity's Oren Peli.

"Family drama, reality show type twists, or straight-up horror - no matter what you're looking for, The River has enough of it to grab viewers at every turn," Phil King, President, CTV Programming and Sports, said in a statement. "A mind-altering, edge-of-your seat paranormal thriller, The River will not disappoint."
