Investigations into alleged paranormal activity in the Thunder Bay region are being documented by local media producers, and being turned into programming for a regional cable TV channel as well as a global online audience.
Ten episodes of TB Paranormal are planned; the first three have aired and are available online, at NetNewsledger.com.
One recent show found the program production team at the historic Founder's Museum and Pioneer Village over the past several weeks, investigating reports of strange and unusual happenings at the site.
Videographer Don McCauley of Thunderstryker Films documented the investigation.
Each episode of TB Paranormal features investigations and video documentation by the TB Paranormal Society of Northwestern Ontario. An affiliate team of PSICAN (Paranormal Studies & Investigations Canada), TB Paranormal has been investigating case of paranormal activity since 2009.
Using a combination of skeptical and traditional investigation techniques, the investigators and program producers aim to prove or disprove the alleged activity using professional investigative techniques, extensive research and lots of technology.
Multiple handheld video cameras with infrared and extreme low light capabilities are used, connected to portable digital video recording systems; digital still cameras and photographic techniques are applied, and the team also uses, digital voice recorders, motion sensors, EMF detectors, vibration detectors, digital thermometers, and other devices to examine a location in search of alleged paranormal activity.
