Live multiplatform coverage of activities related to a potential strike or lockout of Toronto's outside workers is underway in a combined effort by CityNews Channel and 680News.
With less than 36 hours remaining until a contract negotiation deadline, and a potential strike or lockout, CityNews Channel is expanding coverage all weekend, including Citytv simulcasts, live streams on CityNews.ca and 680News.com, and via the CityNews and 680News mobile apps.
Online, there will be on-demand stories available from both sites, along with live blogs and newsroom updates, as well as user generated comments from viewers, listeners and readers. A dedicated Twitter feed with the hashtag #TOlabourdispute has been set up by the stations.
Throughout the weekend, Toronto's 24-hour live radio station, 680News, provides round-the-clock live coverage and the latest updates from City Hall.
