Char Beales will retire from CTAM at the end of 2013, after 21 years leading the cable industry association.
Her contract would have expired last year, but the CTAM Board of Directors extended her contract through 2013 so that she could see the organization through to its new “corporate-centric” business model, as proposed In November, 2012.
At that time, CTAM also announced it was pulling the plug on the annual industry Summit and Insights Conference.
CTAM says a search for her successor is expected to begin in a few months; Beales will be part of the process, and will work with the CTAM Board of Directors to find a new leader.
The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing president and CEO has led CTAM for 21 years; she could not be reached for comment.
