She Takes On The World - and Wins nextMEDIA Digital Launch Pad

nextMEDIA and MediaCom Canada announced last night that She Takes on The World is the 2011 Digital Launch Pad (DLP) winner!

The digital media industry event nextMEDIA Toronto is on now at The Carlu in Toronto, where six competition finalists appeared on the stage, taking part in a quick fire live pitch in front of the audience and judging panel.

Run by Emmy-award winning producer, Natalie MacNeil, She Takes On The World is described as the hottest digital magazine for career-minded women and women entrepreneurs.

It features articles on entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal branding, as well as interviews with some of the most successful women in business today, including Arianna Huffington (Huffington Post), Barbara Corcoran (star of ABC's Shark Tank), and Gina Bianchini (Founder of Ning.com).She Takes on the World was recently recognized by Forbes as one of "Top 10 Entrepreneurial Sites for Women."

"The Digital Launch Pad is all about identifying emerging opportunities - being ahead of the curve, and leveraging the power and interactivity of technology in a new and unique way, and She Takes on The World embodies that," said Mediacom's Matt Di Paola, who sat on the judging panel. "This is truly one of the hottest and most innovative web destinations, with fresh ideas and content, and it was a clear winner."

Judges included Michael Aniballi, Vice President Digital Practice, Managing Director, JWT; Matt DiPaola, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, Mediacom; Dre Labre, Creative Director, Rethink Toronto and Ryan Wolman, Creative Director, henderson bas kohn.
