Society of Digital Agencies Adds Canadian Members

Vancouver-based Pound & Grain Digital is the latest Canadian digital agency to join the internationally esteemed Society of Digital Agencies.

AKA SoDA, the association represents digital developers, content creators and marketing professionals worldwide with its efforts to boost industry best practices, education, and advocacy.

Pound & Grain has grown substantially since its founding just a few years ago; it more than doubled its size just last year, and worked with new clients such as Electronic Arts, CTV, Rutgers University, Sombrio, and Microsoft.

It also recently developed a mobile app for a chain of yoga centres launched by Terry McBride, CEO of Canadian music label Nettwerk Productions.

"We are thrilled to welcome Pound & Grain into the ranks of SoDA membership,” said Chris Buettner, SoDA's Executive Director. “We firmly believe the agency's executive team and staff will help to advance our organization's mission in Canada and around the world. SoDA's membership includes 60+ leading digital companies (including top digital agencies and elite production companies) with offices in 22 countries, across five continents.

"It's very exciting to be rolling up our sleeves and getting more involved in our digital industry via collaborating with peers from the best agencies around the world,” said Pound & Grain's Managing Partner Sandy Fleischer. “Without a doubt, joining SoDA is an outstanding opportunity for our leadership team to give back to the industry we love so much. Other Canadian members include Jam3 Media; the Toronto digital agency recently completed creative design and development work for the National Film Board, and its award-winning Bear 71 interactive online documentary, as well as doing 3D development work for music artist Bjork and her new Biophilia website.

RocketXL, with offices in Toronto, LA and NYC, is also a member; the firm developed some of the earliest digital platforms connecting social media and sports broadcasting. It worked on such integrations for a recent NHL Winter Classic, which resulted in a 22 per cent increase TV viewers, as reported by broadcaster NBC, with Facebook feeds driving the connectivity.

SoDA is a non-profit industry organization with Adobe Systems as its founding sponsor.
