Two of Southern Ontario’s fast growing municipalities have new broadband communications optoins, says TeraGo Networks Inc., a national wireless broadband service provider.

TeraGo’s VLAN service will provide businesses in Milton and Burlington with a simple solution for interconnecting local area networks to remote offices anywhere across Canada.

TeraGo owns and operates a carrier-grade, fixed wireless, IP communications network across Canada focusing on businesses that require broadband Internet access and data connectivity services.

“Both of these regions have a robust economy with strong potential for expansive growth, and we recognized the local businesses’ need for an innovative broadband connectivity alternative to meet their unique data communications requirements,” said Bryan Boyd, President and CEO, TeraGo Networks, in a release. “Our VLAN solution is optimized to offer these thriving markets a fast and reliable broadband alternative to what traditional carriers provide.”

Since it’s based on Ethernet standards, TeraGo’s VLAN service minimizes a customer’s need to invest in expensive equipment, the company describes. Businesses can select a burstable rate, allowing them to expand their broadband on an as-needed basis, or they may choose a committed rate with a guaranteed speed at all times.

Since 2000 TeraGo Networks Inc. has been providing Canadian businesses with wireless broadband and data communications services. The national broadband service provider owns, manages and maintains its own wireless IP network. TeraGo currently serves businesses in more than 30 markets across Canada.
