Mike LaJoie, executive vice president and chief technology officer for Time Warner Cable, will be the keynote speaker at SCTE Canadian Summit 2012 next month.
LaJoie will discuss the need for cable engineering and operations professionals to maximize the value of new technologies as part of the March 27 opening session of SCTE Canadian Summit. LaJoie’s remarks will set the stage for the two-day conference, which is designed to advance understanding of innovative approaches and solutions that can help the industry to drive new services, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.

During his tenure as CTO and executive vice president of advanced technology with Time Warner Cable, LaJoie has been responsible for supporting new product development, identifying new technology applications and formative product ideas as well as representing Time Warner Cable on all industry standards activities. Prior to his current roles, he served as vice president of corporate development for Time Warner Entertainment’s Time Warner Cable division, overseeing the development of VOD software and set-top boxes and other major launches of new services and products. In addition, he has been involved in such projects as Time Warner’s Multi Media initiative, The Full Service Network, Road Runner, Pegasus Digital Television platform, and IP telephony.
