RTR Media has launched a dedicated YouTube channel, with exclusive online content aimed at young urban women.
Coral is the name of the new women’s lifestyle channel, offering personal, relationship and career advice and ‘how-to’ information under the branded tagline, ‘Advice You Crave, from Women Who Live It’.
The channel targets women 20-35 with a secondary audience of women 35-54. Coral's hosts have been featured on other media outlets, including etalk, CP24, Canada AM, Cityline, Lou Lou Magazine, Elle, Flare and Fashion; That’s helped it create an online following with over 820,000 views tallied.
“Coral is one of the first Canadian lifestyle channels. We are working closely with Google and YouTube to build engagement from a loyal subscriber base,” described Sarah Bolen, Community Manager for the channel.
Toronto-based RTR Media has already established itself with successful lifestyle programming such as Income Property, now in its seventh season on HGTV Canada and HGTV US.
Kit Redmond, CEO and Executive Producer of RTR Media and Coral, says the future of ‘how-to’ information is in the “digital space” and that the company will continue to invest in factual and lifestyle content developments both in front of and behind the camera.
The company says it is looking for partnerships in content or marketing development, and it is creating branding opportunities, product integration and sponsored by video content for its outlet.
RTR also has a new content distribution deal with Sympatico for its new lifestyle portal, Loop, which will air selected videos.
